Common Website Faults

Does your business need us?

Search Engine Optimisation as it is commonly called ought to be called Website optimisation as it is usually your website that needs optimising NOT the search engines!

Tourism-Site-Fix says, tourism business today has become highly dependant on the Internet for generating business. The public are increasingly willing to book holidays, buy products, tickets etc. on the internet. It is a highly competitive marketplace and tourism business, in order to stay ahead of the competition (or catch up as the case may be! ), needs to constantly review their position with regard to their online presence and website performance. It is an ongoing process.

Recognise, before the problem is serious!

Are the search engines passing your website by, traffic not what you hoped for?

Or are you getting traffic but little or no bookings, or sales enquiries!

You could be losing out to your online competitors simply because your website has not been through a search engine optimisation process. Tourism-site-fix will almost certainly be able to make some recommendations to improve your website performance.

Do you recognise any of the faults below ?

  • Page titles all the same, or worse, is it an "untitled document"! (You can see the page title in the blue bar at the very top of the web page). Website designers are often guilty of neglecting to include titles on individual web pages.
  • Websites hosted on freespace, or domain name redirects, (usually a product of cost cutting, or a DIY approach to web hosting and design.)
  • Irrelevant keywords, too many keywords, not enough keywords, meta keywords are disregarded by many search engines these days, but not all!.
  • Lack of content, a web page needs to contain well written copy for good search engine ranking. 200 words of keyword rich text minimum.
  • Badly designed navigation can stop search engine spiders in their tracks.
  • Framed sites, badly written code, bloated code generated by some html editors.
  • Splash pages (bells and whistles intro pages) might look impressive but often has a devastating affect on your search engines rankings.
  • Websites with musical loops, might sound great, for about 10 seconds!!
